FABSEC

At Fabsec, we set the benchmark for long-span cellular beams and bespoke plated beam solutions. Combining advanced engineering with proven technology, our SCI-assessed FBEAM® software and FIREBEAM® add-on transform the design process, delivering greater accuracy, efficiency, and speed.

With seamless BIM integration, robust quality assurance, and a commitment to customer success, we enable project teams to achieve enhanced value, accelerated construction programmes, and optimised structural performance.

Choose FBEAM® software to unlock smarter, faster, and more efficient building solutions.

Software

The holistic approach of our FBEAM® software, when used with our FIREBEAM® add-on, considers both the design at ambient temperature and fire limit states for Fabsec cellular beams. It allows structural and consulting engineers to add mass and openings where truly necessary.

The key component is our software allows optimisation of the steel and the Intumescent passive fire protection paint offering an EPD Calculation . EPD calculations can be provided at an individual element level as required. In addition it offers BIM links to Tekla Structural Designer Trimble Downloads and Bentley RAM Structures Structural Design Software | Bentley Systems

The FBEAM software is third party assessed by SCI The Steel Construction Institute (SCI) UK Global Steel Expertise

Product

FABSEC and FIREBEAM® cellular beams are used in floor spans of 8-24 metres and roof spans of up to 60 metres, they require fewer columns, which affords design flexibility and architectural freedom.

Our fabricated cellular beams are fabricated out of plate which has been analysed and designed within the FBEAM software and procured from one of our licensed fabricators, Severfield | UK’s Leading Structural Steel Construction Experts and Cellbeam Ltd a subsidiary of William Hare Global Leaders In Engineered Steel Solutions . The FIREBEAM® uses coating technologies from Sherwin Williams UK Coatings Limited. Protective & Marine Coatings | Sherwin-Williams

Our fabricators are able to fulfil the role of Appointed Parties for BIM deliverables and after more than 20 years have an extensive back catalogue of projects where we can share information to aid future reuse.

This gives both the specifying engineer and the client the confidence that the beam is designed and produced in accordance with industry-leading standards.
